REVISIONS FOR THE PORTFOLIO

For revisions, I will definitely tweak the visuals of the portfolio a bit; specifically, I will take Rebekah’s suggestion to take away the underlining on the first page and to make the text in the footer lowercase instead of capitalized in an effort to be less flashy and loud. In general, I want to let the work speak for itself and to keep the design straightforward and sophisticated while maintaining a literary aesthetic. I will also take Sofia’s suggestion to change the background image of the reflection to add interest, as well as make the buttons on the various pages clear that they are links to the pieces of writing to avoid any confusion about what they are.
I want to work on the hover interactions on the writing blurbs because I don’t love how they expand outside of the page. I want to make them more consistent and clean to maintain that air of sophistication. Furthermore, I think I will eliminate the blog as a section of the portfolio. It adds some confusion about what the blog posts are for and I’m unsure if I want to muddle the aesthetic and purpose of the portfolio with more informal writing. To make it seem more professional, I want to make the portfolio seem as distant from an amalgamation of assignments as possible.
